Our Approach to Safeguarding

• Policies and Procedures: We have robust safeguarding policies in place, aligned with statutory requirements, including the latest government guidance such as Keeping Children Safe in Education. These policies are regularly reviewed and updated.

• Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs): Our safeguarding team, led by trained DSLs, oversees all safeguarding matters, ensuring a swift and effective response to any concerns.

• Staff Training: All staff receive regular safeguarding training to identify and address signs of abuse, neglect, or harm, fostering a proactive culture of vigilance.

• Student Education: Through our curriculum and PSHE lessons, we educate students about staying safe, understanding boundaries, and recognising unsafe situations both online and offline.

Collaboration and Communication

We work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies, including social services, the police, and healthcare professionals, to provide holistic support for students in need. Open communication channels ensure that concerns can be raised confidently and addressed effectively.

Our school environment is designed to promote safety and well-being, with secure facilities, clear behaviour expectations, and anti-bullying policies in place. We also prioritise online safety by teaching students how to navigate the digital world responsibly.
